    Water Temp: 70-73

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Tried North Fork with crank baits around submerged boulders in the 5 mph zones. Picked up a couple of dink spots. Headed for NY Creek and fished trees with Senkos and got a few 2-3# spots as well as one on shorelines with crank bait (that fish was kind of beat up looking). Moved to Jack's Shack and got a 2# large in the trees. There are so many Carp up there it's crazy. Ended the day with a good late afternoon bite working the shoreline by Mormon Dam 12-15 depth casting to shoreline and in the trees with cranks. Mixture of spots and smallies ranging from 2-3#. Big fish was a 3.4 spot on crank bait.
    City: EDH

Tips: Watermelon/Lemon Senkos and gold rip/crank baits got us our fish today, about 15 total. No big fish but a fun day on the water!

    Water Temp: 62-63 (colder

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished coves and trees for 4 hrs. with plastics. Just one bite and one fish (in 15-20 ft. of water,) but a nice 4-5 lb. spot-- one of the prettiest ones I've seen. Colors were great. Have these fish already spawned in this colder water?
    City: Folsom

Tips: They must be either: shallower than 15-20 ft. or deeper than 15-20 ft. or didn't like what I was throwing....

    Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: fished submerged willows from 5-25ft. picked up 2lber on natural shad senko t-rigged on a flickshake 1/16oz jighead. eventually changed to just wacky rigging and picked up a 3-13oz and another 2lber in the trees. buddy surprised us with a few just under keepers on rattle trap..craw colored. (hmmmm, never thought anything craw colored worked in folsom lake). got a couple blow-ups on topwater popper but nothing on the hook. bro was busy breaking off snags from trying to throw his senkos into the thickest submerged trees. finally at the late afternoon, decided to try west wall of an inlet..nothing in the trees hit but when we worked the wall where the wakes were splashing against it, picked up 3 more keepers and a few scrappy dinks. most hits on the senkos but also a couple on 4" finesse worms semi c-rigged using 1/8 oz bullet sinker and 18-20" leader. surprise of the day was seeing the hits on the lipless crank.
    City: folsom

Tips: senkos in the submerged trees worked for us. alot of missed strikes from the little bait stealers but don't hesitate to set the hook on a couple of tics..don't wait.

Report: Lol!! I'm glad I didn't read the previous post!! I would have felt extremely incompetent!! Fished from 7AM to 4pm. Threw everything at them with the end result 2 fish. One on a pearl grub near trees and one on a Stacy Perch colored Rip-Bait. All in all it was still fun. I heard the Future Pro Tour was won by the same team that caught the 15Lb Bass in a Tourney the week before!!
    City: W.Sac

Tips: The opposite of me. Should have drop-shotted but I hate that type of fishing!!

Report: Wow the bite is on fire this is one of the best big fish years I've seen in a while! Can't wait to see the results for the future pro and wish I was fishing it cause I got them figured out here's some tips for the guys who are fun fishing and just wanna catch fish Morning dawn robo worms on a dart head or drop shot but you really have to fish it slow I mean pretty much dead sticking the bait and letting the boat move your worm, fish are staging near spawning areas in 3 to 15 feet. If you wanna catch a little bit bigger fish senkos in the trees will be good for a couple nice bites right now but I definantly think the tournament will be won on swimbaits and the A-rig... good luck and tight lines everyone please feel free to email me if anyone has any questions. FISH ON!!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I am a moron , I wrote the previous post talking about the dirty water thinking it was algae or pollen . It just hit me ,the lake just turned over . I have fished Folsom for many years and have never seen this . Maybe it will disappear as fast as it came ?

    Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Bite has seemed to toughen up , I think its the calm before the storm . Catching around 2 fish per hour with a three pounder for every six or seven fish. The water is turning brown and its not mud , must be algae or pollen , the south arm seems to be all colored with the north arm being half brown and half clear. It will stop site fishermen from finding spawners.

Tips: If I had to do over I would have drop shotted points. I tried to split shot some points no luck..

Report: I didn't mean to start a ruckus... I appoligize for giving the ethnic identification of the guys in the boat that anchored on top of me. That was not my intent. I do however feel that I did give some decent info related to the reports page that may help others which was my intent. Sorry for the uneeded drama.
    City: Loomis

Tips: Take a kid fishing!!! I hope I will be taking one little guy fishing in about 3-4 years, since I just found out yesterday that my unborn child already has it's own "flippin stick"!

Report: Ranger pilot: we were the Tracker that was 100yrds from you when that boat dropped anchor on you. After he was done with you he came into our cove and proceeded to blow it out. He beached his craft destroying at least one bed we knew of. We had just smacked two fat spots and then they were gone!
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: Please have som courtesy for others. Had this been a Tournament there would have been a Hudd upside your head. We freely give out fishing information just don't ask us while we are on the water. We feel ya Rangerpilot

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Out again today at safe light. This time with fellow angler and friend "Pony Boy". Fished til 6 pm and the day was a bit tougher than 4/5. We each caught 1 in the 1st hour, but a very long stretch before we hooked up again. Late afternoon bite was much better compared to the morning. The fish seemed to have backed out a bit, though they were still in 15 feet or less. All fish caught on a variety of plastics and no reaction bite for us.
    City: Loomis

Tips: What's the deal with the Asian anglers that I keep seeing everytime I go out to Folsom these days? They load up 5-12 people in a boat and drop them off on shore to different parts of the lake to fish while the boater fishes by himself in the boat. Today after he droppped everyone off, he pulled his boat up right next to me and dropped anchor and cast out a line where I was already fishing for about an hour and then started asking me questions??? Now I consider myself to be pretty friendly and share info, but if you pull up on me and start casting where I'm casting...you might want to watch the back of your head for incomming Huddlestons!

    City: Loomis

Tips: Water is coming up fast so watch out for debris up to 7' long.

    Water Temp: didn't even loo

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: o heim, you're not alone...my bro and me have been fishing folsom since late 80s and now that i'm a decade resident (my bro's been here since mather was an air force base), we still have a love/hate relationship with folsom lake. sometimes we come out with 10-12 fish (no, we're not gonna tell you stories like these other guys with 30 fish, probably true for some but most are fudgin'. But yeah, we have some spots we tend to catch, but not all the time. I've actually caught my limit waiting for my bro to park the trailer at Dike 8. But then we've also been skunked so many times, we're not welcome at family gatherings. But yeah, it's our back yard too, but we fish the Delta.
    City: folsom

Tips: Find what works for you and work it. Everyone will tell you, whatever worked at some other lake will likely not work at Folsom. I've had Pro-Am friends come up to Folsom and say 'NEVER AGAIN'.
It's not Clear Lake, it's not anything like you've ever fished. But sometimes, the fishin' is catchin'. Headin' to the Delta......
