    Water Temp: 48-49

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a tough day, only managed to land 1 fish on drop shot. Our friends landed a few more than we did. Tried everything and it was just a tough bite.

We need rain bad folsom looks like a river and it is very tough to launch if you do not have a keel gaurd.

Anyhow if youre going out to folsom please keep the updated coming.

Tips: None really through everything at them. Maybe I will try the kitchen sink next time.

  • Water Temp: 81

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched 615 at Dike8/Folsom Pt and headed straight to N.Fork. Worked points and shoreline with rocks and boulders using mid-diving cranks and dropshot for 8 keepers, 4 lost at boat, and about 20-25 dinks and 8-10inchers larger dinks that hit hard and fought like smallies. off the water by 230pm; pretty decent for a Wed, even with the ski/wake boats.
    City: folsom

Tips: Worked boulders at points and rock faces in 10-20ft dropshotting. Most of the keepers came on dropshot but a choice few on mid-diving cranks. crank pause crank hard pause triggered several bites. dropshot hits were subtle and rod would just load up, then pull back hard. fun half day.
get out early, then off between noon and 2latest and you won't get too bothered by the boat traffic.

  • Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This is to correct temp and visibility from earlier report. This is my last report until Westernbass fixes problems with entry. Tried contacting both the Webmaster and the other link under contact but never got a response.

  • Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Windy, 10+ East of Rattlesnake bar. Tried spinners, no luck. Caught 3 large mouth, 14-17" on rocks at about 12', and 1 big old tired post-spawn mama, 3.5 lbs in the trees. Caught all with 5" baby bass Senkos, wacky, no weight. Had to cast way forward to give it time to drop because the wind was whipping me right along. Tried nail weights a few times, but no luck.

Tips: Three hits came on dead stick, one while reeling in.

  • Water Temp: not sure

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Shoreline report: Ran my dog at Dike 8/Folsom Point just down below the picnic tables. First cast with monster shad colored senko...tic tic tic... 13" smallie. Continued along the point and rocky shoreline throwing the senko and just letting it settle to bottom...twitch a couple times, bring it up and throw again. Picked up 2 more spots about a lb each. Was a decent morning running the dog.
    City: folsom

Tips: None. I just took a rod rigged with a 5" senko and worked the shoreline while I ran the dog. But I'm thinking they're still hanging around rocky shoreline and rockpiles. btw...monster shad senko is something i came across at monster tackle....supposedly a special color made for them by yamamoto..comes in a gary yamamoto pkg. work at folsom and delta.

  • Water Temp: 70's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started out fishing the trees and saw a TON of carp. tried a jerkbait for a while with no bites. Searched the shore to see if bass were bedding, Nothing. Finally fished some rockpiles and BAM. Got 2-3 bass per rock pile on shad colored worms (darthead) and smoke senkos (wacky rigged) caught 30+fish biggest was maybe close to 3 lbs. spots, lmb's, and smallies.
    City: Rancho Cordova

Tips: Cast right on top, and to the sides of submerged rock piles. all bites were pressure bites, just test your slack line for that mushy feeling. I was moving the bait kind of fast and was getting bit.

    Report: this is a test

  • Water Temp: 61-64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I took a father/son team to beautiful Folsom Friday morning. That lake is so beautiful in the spring - just wish it had more water this year. We found the fishing to be somewhat tough, but we didn't start until 8 am and they missed the first few bites thay had. They did land 3 nice spotted bass but we spend most of our time running around learning new areas - heads looking at the Lowrance HDS-8. We fished a little over 4 1/2 hrs. Lots of bass boats on the water and now the pleasure boats are arriving. It is a pity that some much of the good cover - trees and brush - are out of the water. Maybe not everyone feels that way however. Possibily because of the clear water and higher sun, bass seemed to be very timid with their bites. As I looked around at other boats - it seemed that most wern't setting the hook much.

Tips: I can't say much since one of them is probably fishing an upcoming tournament. They did throw a variety of baits and did get bit on several of them. Just had trouble getting a good hookset. There was a nice breeze in the north fork which should have helped the bite a bit. As we went back to Granite Bay about 12:30 pm - main body was dead-flat calm. Tough conditions!

  • Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Out from 8-2, caught 16 keeper size bass, mostly spots, largest about 2 lbs. Caught at 2-8' on rock beds near points. Caught all on 5" Senkos (pumkin/red flake and baby bass), both Texas and wackey rigged, weightless, and slow. Fished not far up North Fork.
Spoke with another angler in same area, who had caught 8 in about 2 hours using a small spinner.

  • Water Temp: 61

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Things are picking up. I was out Tuesday from 8-2. Picked up 5 keeper spots casting to edge and dragging unweighted wacky Senko over rock piles. No weed guard, so even being unweighted, lost plenty of hooks to snags. No luck with drop shot, crank and spinner baits, or a variety of Texas-rigged plastics.

Went out yesterday (4/5) from 4-5:15, caught 3 on drop shot 3" zipper worms, 1 on a wacky Senko. Didn't try other methods this time.

Fish ranged from 12" - 16". 1 small mouth, 1 large mouth, other spots.

    Tips: It's April. Go fish!

    Water Temp: 56-60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 8-noon. Not a nibble and by 10 and I was getting ready to again call Folsom my least favorite lake when I gave up looking at my graph full of fish and moved back into a cove on the south fork and tossed the Staysee 90. Ended up with 8 in the next 2 hours, biggest was a 3. Did see some fish on beds in 60 degree water. Glad I put down the Dropshot and went reaction. Caught fish in coves and along rock walls.

Tips: One day isn't a pattern but happy to be able to contribute a report where I figured something out. Jerkbaits in 10-12 ft. All hit on the pauses.

  • Water Temp: Low 50's

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: hate coming here and not finding good information so I post reports every chance I get to share with fellow fishermen. Partner and I caught 7 keepers for 5th place in a TS. 13lbs for us 16lbs won. The bite isnt red hot but they are definitely biting and you can catch em.

Tips: shallow rock piles worked for us. Most our bites came while our bait was 2 to 4 ft over submerged rock piles. There were lots of patterns but ours was shallow rock piles. All our fish were quality. 2 to 3 1/2 lbers. Rip baits and senkos in the rocks!! Good luck

    City: W.Sac

    Water Temp: Cold

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Pretty tough bite for me today, one spotted bass about 3 lbs came off right at the boat. Got to the lake about 10 a.m. and so did that nasty wind that seems to always come up like clock work. Im actually looking for someone to fish here with as i live about 10 minutes from browns ravine. shoot me an email if your interested, not too worried about gas or anything have a pretty much fully rigged triton if it makes you feel better.
    City: Cameron Park

Tips: Dont have any being as though i only hooked and lost one fish, but it was on a dropshot.

    Water Temp: not sure...cold

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: while i walked my dog, i worked the dike8/folsom pt shoreline just below the picnic tables. hooked up a couple 1 to 2 lbers on a grn pumpkin jig with a 5" grn pumpkin senko trailer. that shut down so i switched to a wacky rigged monster shad senko..picked up 3 more 1 lbers. surprised me that i got that many from shore. have tried last few weeks this way and this was the best day. hope spring gets here soon!
    City: folsom

Tips: i can't seem to force myself to fish slow so i made up reasons not to move my rod and simply put it down while i threw sticks in the water for my lab to fetch. then picked up my rod and it would load up or i'd feel the tic as soon as i'd move it. so i guess the tip is...fish slow.... if you can. i generally can't.
