Re: Mechanic recommendation needed...
I’m not sure what the comment about knowing Richard or being in with him was supposed to mean. Of course I know the guy-I’ve been taking my boats to Wright Motors Marine for over 15 years after having some poor service experiences other places. He’s an owner/operator one man show. The man does hones...

Re: Fishing Line
Braided line handles so much better on spinning reels. When you get tired of replacing FC or mono or the frustration of dealing with twists, give it a try and thank me later. It’s more expensive initially, but lasts so much longer. You can save money by having a tackle shop spool your reel for you w...

Re: question about boat launches at Tournaments.
Anyone who owns a boat should probably take a few minutes and learn how to back a trailer. Might be a good idea for him to find an uncrowded parking lot somewhere and practice. Would probably serve him well moving forward. The Delta is cool, but there’s also lots of cool fisheries he could experienc...

Pretty sure Gene sold Hook, Line and Sinker many years ago. Don’t think he’s had any involvement for many years. Those were the good old days when The Hook was on the water down at the Big Break Marina.

To each their own. I’ve owned and used all brands and models of casting reels. Love the Tatula’s and use them of all sizes. Something tells me Daiwa has been doing this long enough to design a reel that you don’t cast all the line off the reel.
